CNY reunion

Dear Diary,

Having not celebrated CNY at home for the past four years, this year's CNY carries more meaning for me... It was well worth the anticipations... The joy of family reunion, meeting up with friendssssss, visiting relatives, receiving ang pow (Yeah, I didn't get any for the past 4 years!!), non-stop eating of new year cookies, reunion lunch/dinner at restaurants, the fireworks, the prayer, visiting temple... It was memory-refreshing for me!
(Nevertheless, I confess that I missed gambling in London.. the Texas-Hold'em all-nighters + the free-flow never-ending alcohols + steamboats that lasted for dayssss)

There were plenty of reunions with friends over the past week... starting from Sat's night reunion dinner with sec school classmates. It was really fun to rendezvous with them again! Just couldn't understand why some people didn't bother to turn up at all. For me, it feels good to catch up with old-friends, to rekindle the relationships that were so strong for years but kinda weakened after we left schools... It certainly doesn't hurt to have more friends... and again and again, I wonder why certain people are so selective of their friends, of who they want to mingle with... You can't hate someone forever. After all these years, I was really amazed that some people were still holding grudge over others over tiny matters!! Can't we live with laughters, with love, and with forgiveness???

Thus, needless to say, the most enjoyable party for me, was the gathering with some of my friends who returned from London for CNY... Perhaps we share a lot in common, perhaps it was the bond formed over the years away from home, where friends are the only person you can depend on, or perhaps we just love to have fun... I can't remember the last time I laughed as much as last night! We were not particularly close back in the uni, yet we could have so much fun together... The care-for-each-other could be felt, where people doesn't talk to you just to gain advantage from you, where you can share everything without worry... Again, it was really a pleasure meeting you guys, and sad to see some of you have to fly back to the cold cold London soon... All the best! mates!
